Our experienced team at Cimaschool strongly recommends that your children complete a professional snowboarding and skiing course before they hit the slopes. WHY? to learn safe conduct on the pistes and the rules of the slopes (Level 1) to learn and master good technique from the start to have fun in a class group or in private tuition professional and competent instructors and supervisors great learning success all courses and private tuition start and finish at the assembly area in front of our ski school office (also accessible without skis) parents are free to enjoy their skiing holiday our ski school has been awarded a gold award for specialised kids' ski schools in the South Tyrol for 15 years - we provide ideal conditions for successful learning. **2000** The CIMA school was founded in the month of November by 9 ski and snowboard instructors; The school's first director: Hansjörg Plankensteiner, working alongside operations manager, Karl Heinz Molling The opening of the children’s school, with adjacent restaurant, on the Plan del Corones; these facilities are still made available by Mr. Eugen Ellemunt at the Cima restaurant (Gipfelrestaurant) on the Plan del Corones; The main branch and offices of the ski school in the Grafenhaus at Rasun di Sotto. Facilities made available by Mr. Konrad Renzler; **2001** Pauli Hellweger is appointed the school’s director; he holds the position until 2011; Creation of the Kinderpark with moving walkway on the Plan de Corones. Since then the facility has been made available by the Hof-Enneberg group. **2002**Cima Express - Purchase and commissioning of a small train consisting of a snowmobile that tows trolleys to transport children to the Kinderpark. **2003** Second location on the Plan de Corones with professional photographer and sales of photographs. These spaces as well are still made available by Mr. Eugen Ellemunt; **2004** Opening of a third location with ski rentals in Valdaora di Mezzo; this location, which also serves as the secretariat for enrolment in the school, has to this day been made available by the Moser family. CIMA employs 20 ski and snowboard instructors **2005** Purchase of a small bus for the school's own use and for excursions with our guests **2006** The Moser family's entire building, in the centre of Valdaora di Mezzo, is rebuilt. A new space is now available to the school for its headquarters, ski sales and rental shop; **2007** The stock of goods is expanded for equipment sales and the rental shop;; **2008** Construction of a storage space for skis on the Plan de Corones Cima now employs 25 ski and snowboard instructors **2009** Opening of the CIMA-Shop on the Plan de Corones - also managed until today by Mr. Eugen Ellemunt **2010** Opening of a fourth location in Gassl. The spaces are still made available today by Christian Hainz **2011** The beginning of the collaboration with the South Tyrolean company “Marlene”, which since then has been Cima's main sponsor, supplying all the locations with apples. It decorates the Marlene-Kinderpark with advertising and educational material and this is followed by the weekly Marlene-Kinder-Race with advertising and information. **2012** Innovative management project for the "ski school's shop and equipment rentals", assigning distinct areas of responsibility to an equal number of managers; between 2012 and 2019 the various sectors are divided up as follows: -Director of the ski school, rentals and shop: Heinz Holzer -Administration and finance: Elmar Messner -Organization of ski instructors on the Plan de Corones: Christian Plankensteiner -Marketing and Events: Matthias Steinmayr Construction of a small hut in the Kinderpark for the use by the children and as a storage space for teaching materials; CIMA now has 35 ski and snowboard instructors **2013** Opening of the CIMA Kindergarten to host and entertain small children on the Plan de Corones; still made available today by Eugen Ellemunt; Cooperation with the Italian clothing company Colmar, which since then has dressed the entire team of instructors with the most cutting edge technical ski wear and also supplies some goods to the store; **2014** Opening of a Bike Academy and the offer of a range of activities for the summer season; Renovation and expansion of the children's restaurant on the Plan de Corones; **2015** Transfer, renovation and new opening of the office in Valdaora di Mezzo (office-shop- rental) The CIMA ski and snowboard school receives the 5 Cristalli (5 Crystals) award, the highest sign of quality for South Tyrolean ski schools; CIMA now has 40 ski and snowboard instructors; **2016** Opening of the CIMA Shops on the Plan de Corones and Valdaora di Mezzo, open during the summer season; Collaboration with the Steiner Butchers in Rasun: added to the program of group courses for adults is a weekly Speck tasting, led by an expert; Purchase of a second moving walkway for the Kinderpark on the Plan de Corones **2017** Expansion of our entertainment offering, following the motto “The maximum pleasure on skis”: weekly program with tastings, including Speck tastings, “Wine Emotion” tasting and more Renovation of the shop on the Plan de Corones **2018** Composition of the management committee 2018-2020: -Director of the ski school, administration and finance: Elmar Messner -Manager of shop and equipment rentals: Heinz Holzer -Organization of ski instructors on the Plan de Corones: Christian Plankensteiner -Marketing and Events: Matthias Steinmayr Renovation of the headquarters of the ski school on the Plan de Corones; Collaboration with "Bliz", a Swedish brand of Eyewear, which supplies the entire CIMA team with helmets, sunglasses and skis and also sells its products in the Shop **2019** Replacement of the old ski school minibus and purchase of a new one; Purchase of a second storage space on the Plan de Corones; **2020** Composition of the management committee from 2020: -Director of the ski school, administration and finance: Elmar Messner -Manager of shop and equipment rentals: Heinz Holzer - Organization of ski instructors on the Plan de Corones: Christoph Brunner -Marketing and Events: Matthias Steinmayr Purchase of a snowmobile with a trailer for transporting children to the Kinderpark and for the school's own use The CIMA School employs 50 ski and snowboard instructors.
